Well, my friend got one as he has had problems with his game (he isn’t as into it as me). So he got the 72. When I saw this thing, I couldn’t believe it. I hit some shots for fun and I literally almost hit my own face. It’s ridiculous and I don’t recommend it to anyone. You can manipulate the clubs you have and hit most shots around a green. It takes creativity and practise.

I understand that, but the last thing they need is more loft on a club if they’re dumping their pitches and chips in front of them. IF they had good technique they might NEED more loft, with bad technique it’s the last thing they need.

They dump the shot in front of them because their technique is wrong not because of the wedge’s loft.

Most guys dump their pitches right in front of themselves as it is. A 72 degree wedge? That’s a recipe for disaster.

There is a valid point for one. I do not play one, nor do I recommend it to my students. However, the few studies done have shown that the average player can hit shots closer to the hole by simply moving the ball placement around. I used one the other day and it is freaky. But, its an instant low risk flop shot.

put it back in your stance and stroke it like a putt. or just get the feel for it yourself.

52 and 56 for me. 52 is good for bump and run shots and 56 is good for just about any pitch or chip shot. just thought id let you in my head.

give a 56 degree a shot. its good in just about any situation 100 yards in. but its a personnal preference.

hahahahah knock your hat off, that was impressive

What are you trying to do with a 72 degree wedge, knock your hat off? The only reason for the invention of the 64, 68, and now 72 degree wedge is that golf companies need something new for complete tools to waste their money on. Congratulations.

Put the ball back in your stance, hands forward of the ball at address with a neutral-weak grip on the club and take a putting stroke on line with the target line. You can get really relaxed with it and feel the touch you put on the speed of the shot. Usually very consistent feeling-wise.

Harry, you probably **** **** at golf anyways, so you should just keep quiet

60 degree log wedge too high I changed to a 58 and it made a big difference doesn’t go as high and more control
July 28th, 2009 at 11:45 am
your all missing what he said about using the FLANGE, you open the face to expose more of the flange leaving you more room for error, but then again you probably all slice and couldn’t possibly use the back edge of the flange anyway ’cause your all so steep into the ball

Feel makes a 72 degree wedge. I think he says sand wedge because of the age of the video.
August 5th, 2009 at 12:14 am
but if you get a lob wedge then you have distance gaps in between the pitch and the sand wedge. you need even spacings like 50 54 58 or something like that.

does anyone know a video that has technique on chipping with an 8i or low lofted club?
August 10th, 2009 at 8:32 am
I’ve got a something that sits at 56 degrees for you
August 13th, 2009 at 4:08 am
It doesn’t matter what he has. You can’t even hit 56 degree.
August 14th, 2009 at 1:03 am
Mickleson also has a 64 degree
August 14th, 2009 at 6:32 pm
This video is at least 10 years old I’d say. Not everyone was using a lob wedge back then.
August 16th, 2009 at 11:07 pm
