I’m not contradicting either of you, as you are both correct. But I have been told to do both of what you two just said, and for me, both swing thoughts work. It could just be another of the many things that depends on the person.

you probably dont need this cause you are flexible as hell at 12, i am 16 and flexible aswell. but if u want more distance u need more lag. on the downswing move everything in your body as fast as possible to the target while holding the club very very loosly (just enough so it doesnt fall out fo your hands) and you will hit solid shots

im 12 and a good golfer. i can drive 200, but im not gonna do that cause it might hurt my body at a young age. what u think

if you do what the guy said in the video, that will happen automatically. If you do it consciously you may be losing power. Just coil that body like he said and the rest will happen exactly how you describe like clockwork. After watching Sergio Garcia do it so well,I use to try to start the downswing while the backswing was completing the turn and it went far.But when I simply focused on rotating as far back as I could creating tension, everything else occured in sequence and now I bomb my drives.

another tip: start your down swing just before the end of your back swing.
